Mental Vapor Lock
It’s easy to get overwhelmed with EVERYTHING that has to get done.
We make big pictures of the crushing “to do” list… or worse, have no list written down and try to keep track of it all in our heads.
Add in a lack of time… a lack of sleep… and some financial pressure to the mix and you end up with what I call “Mental ‘Vapor Lock”!

Having A Well-Defined Avatar Puts You 10X Further Along Than The Competition
We all need to have a very clear picture of who our ideal customer is so we can sell, market, and connect to them faster and more effectively.
This means going way beyond superficial descriptions like
Making Your Own Rules? Caution!
Where do your rules about life originate? Well, for most of us, we either choose consciously the rules we accept as reality or, in the majority of cases, we simply accept the rules we pick up along the way from family, friends, school, work and church. Every once in a while somebody comes along and discovers a simple truth that we all can, through choice, actually decide which rules we’ll live by and those we’ll reject. Once the discovery gets made that you truly do make your own rules, it becomes a classic case of choosing to use your newfound power to soar to new heights or descend into the more base levels of human behavior.
Clues, Feedback and Treasure Maps
When I was a kid, I loved “pirate” movies. I still love them as a matter of fact. I’m not too keen on the pirates, but I’m always inspired by those who defy them and triumph in the end. Movies like “Treasure Island” (1934), “The Swiss Family Robinson” (1960), “Cutthroat Island” (1995), “Pirates of the Caribbean” (2003) always get my blood going. ARR!

Did You Make This Huge Mistake with Your Sales Copy Too?

When you try to sell to everyone you can’t make your sales message specific enough to move people emotionally.
You’ve heard the saying “People buy on emotion and justify on logic.”

You Just Never Know When…
I will never forget this day as long as I live.
I walked outside to put the chickens up and I found our rooster, Rufus, dead in the middle of the garden.

What I’m Reading Now: Pitch Anything Book by Oren Klaff
In case you haven’t heard of it, “Pitch Anything” gives you the keys to understand the dynamics of what’s going on inside people’s brains on both sides of the pitching and selling equation so you can construct a pitch much more carefully and without confusing your ideal customer unnecessarily.
The Greatest Choice You’ll Ever Make
If you want to feel bad pick up a newspaper. If you want to feel really bad turn on cable news and watch for about 15 minutes. If you want to feel like it’s time to end it all and step out on the highway in front of the nearest speeding beer truck, go online to Google News and try to absorb all of the world’s headlines. It’s too easy to feel bad in today’s world.
But, it’s also easy to feel good if you have the right strategy and the right focus.
Become One With Your Vision of Success
A great deal has been written over the years telling us how to get what we want. Much of that material has proven very useful. However, while the processes described may have been clear to those writers, to me, something always seemed lacking… so it forced me to find the answers within myself.
