Your Stories = Authenticity = More Profits

Stories equal authenticity. What do I mean?

In a world where everybody makes outlandish promises, puts themselves out there as “the expert,” and generally tries to make money in the knowledge age, the one thing that will separate you from everybody else is the quality of your stories.

Specifically, your ability to relate to and connect with people through stories.

Everybody is attention starved. Everybody will say anything to try and make a sale.

I also think the overall level of skepticism in the world has increased massively.

How do you connect with people in a way that’s genuine and fast? How do you let people know you’re a “real person who really has been there done that” when it comes to their situation?

All the sales copy in the world… all the bullets… all the fancy jujitsu linguistics can’t match a powerful, well-constructed, genuine story.

Never forget, in the end, what people are really buying is you.

They’re buying your story, and by some extension, your story becomes their story.

How many times have you ever bought something, or been in a coaching program, or worked with someone, and you learned their story? As a result of learning their story, that was the tipping point that made you feel comfortable and confident making the purchase.

That story… that tipping point… often happens at a subconscious level.

If you get nothing else out of this week, get this: if you want to be considered an authentic expert in your niche and you want to make yourself rip-off proof and unhackable, get really good at telling stories.

It makes you authentic.

It makes you likable.

It makes you real.

It makes you irreplaceable.

Now that you’ve got it figured out how you want to make money with Zoom, it’s time to put up the sales copy to “put butts into virtual seats.”

This is a critical part of the process that most people don’t even think about.

It’s one thing to spend all your time, energy, and effort figuring out how you’re going to create massive value for people with your online meetings.

But it’s another thing to communicate it to them in such a way that makes them want to pay with their money, time, and attention.
