Today’s Word Is…

Today’s lesson is the word PERSEVERANCE!

Everyone is distracted nowadays.

So you must be serious about your goals if you want to have results.

Samuel Johnson, a famous author from the 18th century, said:

“Great works are performed not by strength but by perseverance!”

So, what does that mean?

Well, it means that the strongest person isn’t necessarily the person who can create the most remarkable results.

For me, this quote is about one BIG thing.

Online business owners sabotage their success.

How do they do that?

By not sticking with something long enough to get results.

Perseverance tells you to stick with it, to stay on target.

This means heading in the right direction AND remaining on target with what you intend to do.

For example, if you’re targeting a specific audience, stay with that audience.

When things aren’t working, figure out a better angle for that audience, don’t switch audiences.

Avoid distraction.

Distraction is the killer of any business.

Avoiding distraction is a tough challenge.

It means you should keep doing what you know you should do long after it stops being fun.

For example, making videos is fun…the first few times.

You do it and get it figured out, but it eventually stops being fun.

The problem is that anything that’s fun stops being fun eventually.

My friend Stew Smith said:

The problem with turning your hobby into a business is you lose your hobby.”

So, you have to remember that the profits come long after it stops being fun.

It will happen because you worked it, and you stuck with it.

You made it happen!

The takeaway

Impressive results only come after hard work, commitment, and perseverance.

Perseverance is all about doing what you should be doing long after it stops being fun!

NEVER stop doing something just because it isn’t fun anymore.

That’s the moment when you should double down and give it your best!
