Weekly Update – August 8th, 2018

A Note From Jim

It seems inevitable.

Late July and August sales always seem to drop off online…and have since 1997.

Then, in September, things “pick back up again” — or at least we hope they do.

Now, there are exceptions to every rule. Lord knows, I’ve had some of my most important months in August. Maybe not from a monetary standpoint, but certainly from a “set the stage” perspective.

What do I mean?

Well, some people PLAY in August. Other people PINE and whine over lackluster sales.

But… the winners PLAN in August… and then EXECUTE like crazy in September through December 20th.

August is for planning… and then the last 3 1/2 months of the year are for MASSIVE ACTION.

I’ve made no secret of the fact that when I got fired from my job in June 2001, I made more money from September to December of that year than I made the previous 4 years… COMBINED. (Not an income claim… it’s an income FACT!)

Bottom line: just cuz it’s summer… just cuz there’s no magic solution… there’s NO REASON why you can’t still take the month of August to get your game plan together, lay the foundation, and then KICK ASS the rest of the year.

Just sayin’!
