A Note From Jim

I started reading a book by Tim Ferriss this week, I’ll let you know in the future whether I like it or not.
But there is one part in the book so far that I really like. He likes to ask the question “What would this look like if it was easy?”
I was having a conversation with a business partner yesterday on a project we’ve been working on for the last 5 to 6 months. We’ve put a lot into it, but, unfortunately, we also over-complicated it.
After we got to the end of a long work session that question popped into my head. I asked my partner “Hey, what would this look like if it was easy?”
In about five minutes we took all the complicated stuff we’ve been laying out in a spreadsheet and turned it into a five-step plan that we’ll be able to implement over the next couple of months.
So I put that idea out there for you, especially right now at this time of year when our schedules get crunched with holiday and family time.
The next time you’re feeling overwhelmed by something, ask yourself the question “What would this look like if it was easy?”
You just might discover a whole new path!
