Are You Having A Motivational Crisis!

Let me ask you a few questions, friend. 

  • Have you ever felt unmotivated?
  • Have you ever not felt like doing something? 
  • Have you ever felt as though you didn’t want to do anything because you just weren’t motivated?

Well, let me give you three ways to get more motivated in case you’re not.


The first way is to go back to your “Why.” 

Why are you doing what you’re doing? 

  • Your “why” might be your family.
  • Your “why” might be a dream you have.
  • It might be a physical object you want to possess, like a new car or a house or something. 

Going back to a powerful why is almost always a great way to get super motivated. 

When I went full time with my online business (it was when I got fired from my job) and I actually had to make things work. 

To be honest, I was really scared.

So, I put a picture of my wife and I standing together in front of a cruise ship on my desk (right in front of my face at all times)… 

And about every 10 minutes (when I was feeling scared or something negative)…

I would look at that picture and go back to the great feelings of all the wonderful things that happened when we went on that vacation. 

My “why,” at that time, was to consistently provide that kind of an environment for Terri and my family.


The second way to get more motivated is to move around. 

A lot of times, you’re sitting at your desk, you’re all hunched over, you’re feeling not so great, and that can KILL your motivation. 

One of the things you can do is just move around, exercise, do some pushups, do some pull-ups, go for a walk, move around for about 10-15 minutes. 

That’ll get you more motivated!


The third thing you can do is something fun for about 20 minutes. One of the things that will kill your motivation is you start thinking: 

“Man, all I do is work.”

“I don’t get to do anything fun.”

“Everyone else is doing fun stuff but me.”

So do something fun for 20 minutes and get it out of your system. 

  • Play a video game;
  • Get a coffee;
  • Call a friend.

Then, come back to what you were doing and get it done. 


Those are three ways to get motivated. 

  1. Refocus on your why;
  2. Move around;
  3. Do something fun. 

If you’re not feeling motivated, understand that motivation is something you can create inside your body at will.
